CTSA Sponsors "Good Sports Nite" at the
Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, June 13, 2003

In an effort to advance the concept of citizenship through sport, CTSA hosted a special program, "Good Sports Night," June 13 for approximately 85 kids at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida in Orlando.

The program, which ran from 6:15-9 p.m., provided fun, physical activities for the kids and a short program for adults on the role of parents in athletics.

Featured were the USOC's Champions in Life, the NCAA's Character Discovery Challenge and the NAIA's Champions of Character programs. Among the athletes who shared their athletic experiences were student-athletes from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, and U.S. Olympians Dot Richardson (softball), Chris Thorpe (luge) and Mark Ruiz (diving).
