CTSA Sponsors "Good Sports Night" at the
Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida, June 11, 2004

Each year, CTSA seeks to highlight issues or initiatives that advance the concept of citizenship through sport. On Friday, June 11, CTSA hosted a special program, "Good Sports Nite," at the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Fort Worth facility on the campus of Texas Wesleyan University. The program featured fun, physical activities for 120 kids and a short program for 25 adults on the role of parents in athletics. The event featured the USOC's Champions in Life, the NCAA's Character Discovery Challenge and the NAIA's Champions of Character programs. Among the athletes who shared their athletic experiences included U.S. Olympians Kim Wurzel (synchronized swimming, 2000 Summer Games) and Janine Bowman (shooting, 2000 Summer Games).
